If it bursts into life or flickers, even briefly, that points to a fault inside one of the machine’s wiring looms.. Sebo Wiring Loom Failure – What to Look For.Remove the bag door and tower filter and inspect the wire running down the inside of the body behind the filter.
This is part of the main wiring loom.Look for signs of heat damage, discolouration or brittleness at the plug end – you may need to remove it to see this, but again, a test meter is your friend here.. We see this often in machines with intermittent faults.It may test fine with a meter but fail under load.
If in doubt, replace the loom — we supply this part and use it regularly in our own workshop.. Swivel Neck Power Loss – Burnt Pins or Damaged Loom.Inside the swivel neck, there’s another short loom with two brass prongs you’ll see sticking up.
These link the upper and lower sections of the machine.
